Cruel Black Dove is an Indie band hailing from Brooklyn, New York. They have a new record out called, The Myth and the Sum. They have played shows in the states’ and internationally. I caught up with lead singer Anastasia Dimou to talk about all things going on with the band.

Q: So, you’re out in New York. How is this Tuesday treating you and how are things?

Q: You are listed as Indie/Alternative, what would you say describes you best?

Q: You have a new EP called, The Myth and the Sum. Tell me about the making of this record.

Q: It actually became available this past Tuesday, the 12th. Where can our readers find it?

Q: You’ve said that you wanted to challenge yourself lyrically on this album. How did you go about doing that?

Q: The Myth and the Sum is a track on the record, why did you decide to name the record this also?

Q: I am particularly fond of the song, “Tied to the Pavement.” What can you tell me about this song?

Q: Just last week you played a release show at the Mercury Lounge. Tell me about how that went.

Q: You’ve gotten to play some special shows across the Globe, including the 2008 Iceland Airwaves festival. Tell me about some of your experiences in playing unique venues and where ya might be headed next.
